Cities are where the people are. They have the largest concentration of people needing Christ. People are more concentrated in the cities.

"And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence." Matthew 10: 11

Jesus mentioned city first, then village. There is potential in "city".
If you can touch the city, you can touch the nation.

City does not refer to buildings, utilities and transportation, but city is defined as an "organized population centre". People make up cities. Just like the church is not a building but a group of people, cities are people. We serve a God of people and people make up cities.

"And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest." Matthew 9: 35-38

City of Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius.

Representing 10% of the population of Mauritius, the City of Port Louis is where the political leaders of our nation seat and make decisions for the running of the country.
It is the economic realm and it is where major businesses trade.
It holds the largest religious venues such as cathedral, mosques and temples.
It is the leading area for ungodly behaviour, poverty and crime.

Just as Jeremiah wept over Jerusalem and Jonah was commanded to preach the Gospel to the city of Nineveh, God placed on my heart a desire to pastor a church in the Capital, Port Louis. I believe God will open doors for us to begin the work as from the month of March 2007. My heart's desire is to teach God's uncompromised word to this nation so that they can effectively apply it to their everyday lives and experience change, seeing their dreams turn to reality.

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Acts 1:8

Notice that Jesus commanded the disciples to be witnesses in Jerusalem, the city ; then move to the state or province which is Judaea and then to the nation here referred as Samaria; and elsewhere in the world.
The Holy Spirit is leading us to be a witness to our City of Port Louis which is also in the state or province.

How to reach the Capital?

We believe every success is a prayer success. Without prayer and intercession, we cannot pull down the strongholds that Satan has produced on Port Louis. Intercessory prayer and spiritual warfare will enable us to clear the atmosphere and wage war against principalities, against powers and against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Faith is the result, the demonstration and productivity of character

We want to develop the right character and attitude to win our cities for Jesus. Being spiritual in our character, walking in integrity and living righteously as well as being fruitful in our lives, we want to show and share the love of Jesus.

The purpose of the anointing is to draw people

Depending on the leadership and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
We believe "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Luke 4:18
The anointing will cause us to go about and do good and heal all that are oppressed of the devil. (Acts 10:38)

Sowing into the city by praying and helping the poor and the needy in that area.

As expected, rent for buildings in the Capital are expensive. An excellent place to cater for people, children and youth as well as have bookshops and offices will range between $ 700 - $ 1,000 per month.

Prices for plastic chairs are $ 10 each

Sound and Musical instruments (the very basic to begin with) are budgeted at $ 5,000

Pray over your seed and expect an abundant harvest. Know that your seed is being sown into good ground and will be used to teach the Word with simplicity and understanding throughout the world. God bless you for being obedient!
