Transformation"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 The Scriptures are the Word of God. Righteousness is to do what is right in God's sight. God's Word is not only for doctrine but it also corrects and instructs us to be a better person and to have a better lifestyle. "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: God has higher thoughts than we do. His thoughts are productive and prosperous. "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." Notice that prosperity and health goes hand in hand just as much as sickness and poverty works together. "…And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse…". It is the will of God for us to live in prosperity and health and not sickness and poverty. This is attainable when we renew our mind. Prosperity begins in our soul. Our soul is our mind, intellect and emotions. Although God created us to have emotions, he did not intend that they control and overrule us. He gave us authority over everything on the earth and that includes our mind, intellect and emotions. Unfortunately, most people allow their soul to rule their lives. When an un-renewed mind and emotions dominate you, they will lead you away from the will of God for your life. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Transformation has to take place in order for my life to experience productivity, good things, health, prosperity and peace. |
