To expand our ability to serve more people.

My Dear Friend,

The ministry in Mauritius is now embarking on another journey, one that is the result of a vision God gave to us many years ago ... the building of a HOUSE, a Sanctuary filled with all facilities to do the work of the ministry.

In 2008, God spoke to us and instructed us to begin the process of building a 400 seat auditorium on ground level and 200 on balcony.

As we began to seek God on this, miracle after miracle began to take place. Although we faced various challenges, Gods grace and mighty power opened doors for us and we are now closer on entering our God-given destiny.
In October 2009, we are finalizing the acquisition of a wonderful piece of property (see attachment), on which we will build this MINISTRY FACILITY. The cost of the land and building (phase 1 which is the sanctuary) is Rs 5million. It will be the fulfillment of a dream and vision God gave us almost 5 years ago.

We are asking that you consider being a part of this vision. Your contribution towards this mandate will literally change a nation, and transform the lives of a generation of people. You can be a part of history!

Other goals & targets

With this fact in mind we have identified the following areas or projects that we believe will help uplift, encourage and equip these people to cope with today's changing needs:

CREATIVE ARTS MINISTRY DEPART MENTS
We will offer character development through team and individual effort, we impart to our students self discipline, self control and self esteem. Study of the creative arts teaches patience, teamwork, perseverance, excellence, coordination and concentration all in the name of fun! We believe in teaching and mentoring in a positive atmosphere with the following;

MUSIC
We would like to provide teaching and training of musical instruments to youths especially to those of the lower social economic areas. We believe that through these means different talents and potential may be developed and produced.

DRAMA
The introduction to interested parties to the basics of acting including pantomime, characterization, improvisation, vocal excellence and auditioning.

BEGINNERS DANCE CLASS
We aim to have an atmosphere that encourages dancers to achieve excellence in dance while also building and supporting friendships with other dancers. We consider a dance class successful not when a dancer has done the biggest leap or the most consecutive turns, but successful when a dancer leaves with a smile on her face and a friend under her arm. OTHER SOCIAL WORK

CRISIS PREGNANCY COUNSELING CENTER
We aim to provide a one-on-one assistance for women facing unplanned pregnancy. Special help will be given to teenagers who have encountered challenges in this area and providing peer-counseling.
We intend to supply the proper counsel and advice to help women make the right choices about relationships, lifestyle and sexual activities.
We intend to serve as counselors and guidance to deal with spiritual and psychological response dealing with factors and common emotions such as

• Stress
• The abortion circumstances
• Sexual dysfunction
• Relationship problem
• Eating disorders
• Alcohol and drug abuse
• Psychological reactions

LIFE SKILLS CLUB
Open a club for youth to gather after hours where they can be taught basis life skills and social behaviour in a light friendly atmosphere with trained counselors that understand the pressure that our youth face in the 21st Century.

COMPUTERS
We plan to invest in computers to help train children and adults alike to gain knowledge and skills in order to elevate the community mindset in our fast growing technological world, thus improving the literacy level of communities such as Pointe aux Piments, Tombeau Bay, Grand Bay and Cap Malheureux - Pavillon.

PRISON MINISTRY
Our goal is to come alongside ex prisoners and encourage them to start afresh with Jesus Christ and to help them get established in the community. Our in-prison ministry revolves around helping men and women rebuild their lives on the foundation of God's word. Prison Fellowship is committed to assisting prisoners by recruiting, training, and mobilizing volunteers from the church for effective aftercare ministry.

DAY-CARE CRÈCHE
The program is designed to assist people, especially children in severe states of distress assisting children affected by poverty.

HOME ECONOMICS PROGRAM
In communities where families could not afford to send their children to school, we would like to teach young girls cookery, sowing and basic hygiene skills. We believe that these basic skills and knowledge that the person acquires will help to provide them with a better living standard.

MARRIAGE COUNSELING
We endeavor to strengthen marriages, families and individuals so they can know the richness of life with God. We plan to provide marital, parental and familial counseling and advice for healthy relationships.

FEED THE POOR PROGRAM
Our church and its members are constantly working with the poor and regularly collect food and supply it to those in needs. We travel and visit homes and support two orphanages at present. We plan to extend this program to include and old age pensioner's home in the future.
